Al's Harvard Square Cafe Opening in Cambridge

A popular sandwich shop with locations in Boston's Financial District and Leather District is getting ready to open a third shop, with this one being in the Harvard Square section of Cambridge.

According to The Harvard Crimson, the owner of Al's State Street Cafe and Al's South Street Cafe will be opening Al's Harvard Square Cafe in the Holyoke Center on Mass. Ave. (between Dunster Street and Holyoke Street, on the eastern edge of the square). Based on the menus at the other two restaurants, Al's Harvard Square Cafe will likely offer soups, salads, and cold and hot subs, with their steak and cheese sub--a signature item at Al's--surely being on the menu.

Expect a fall opening for Al's Harvard Square Cafe.

[March 1, 2011 update: According to the Harvard Crimson, Al's Harvard Square Cafe is now open.]

The address for this new sandwich shop in Harvard Square is: Al's Harvard Square Cafe, 1350 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA, 02138.
